Add learners to your roster

A learner has to be on your academy's roster before they can be put in a class.

  1. Open Academy → Learners and search by name, username or email address. Someone already on your list shows as Already in your academy; anyone else gets an Add button.

  2. If they have no ChessBinder account yet, invite them by email instead.

    They join your roster automatically when they register with that address.

  3. For a whole class list at once, use Import roster and upload your spreadsheet.

    Imported people who already have a ChessBinder account are matched to it; everyone else gets an account made for them (see the next step).

  4. Wait for the learner to accept. Until they do, they are invited rather than enrolled.

  5. People on your uploaded list get an account straight away, so coaches can put them in classes and mark attendance before they join. When they join later, everything carries over.
